When We Are Closed
When the surgery is closed please telephone the surgery number and you will be able to access the out of hour’s information. Please remember that the accident and emergency is for urgent life threatening conditions and severe injury. If you’re problem isn’t life threatening then it is best to call the out of hour’s provider via the surgery number.
NHS 111
This is a 24-hour confidential helpline. You can telephone for advice if you are feeling unwell and are unsure what to do. They can help you find your nearest pharmacy and dentist. You can call anytime day or night on 111. This number is free from both landlines and mobiles.
Alternatively you can visit their website www.nhs.uk/111
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
